The Export Control Specialist will be a member of the EaglePicher Technologies (EPT), LLC
organization in Joplin, Missouri.
Essential duties: The Export Control Specialist will assist with developing, implementing and
managing EaglePicherís export control program to ensure compliance with the International
Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and, where
applicable, foreign export control laws; creating standardized forms for such items as
commodity jurisdictions, tracking of exemptions taken under ITAR/EAR; customer screening;
delivering annual training materials; maintaining policies and procedures to cover EPTís
export activities; working with Contracts Department to ensure export provisions in contracts
are acceptable; applying for all necessary commodity jurisdiction requests, export license
applications and related licensing agreements (including Manufacturing License Agreements and
Technical Assistance Agreements); coordinating with relevant governmental agencies; reviewing
and distributing to the relevant internal organizations all provisos or other conditions
imposed by the government; coordinate any compliance actions. Assist with improving export
processes using six sigma and lean tools. Work closely with other functions under minimal
-Bachelor's degree plus additional professional training in the area Export Control and at
least 5 years of experience with export compliance matters.
-Thorough knowledge of US export control laws.
-Experience in interacting with senior level management, government officials and all levels
-Must have experience in formal presentations, developing and performing training and ensuring
understanding of legal and procedural requirements at ALL levels of the organization.
-Demonstrable experience of excellent judgment.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
-Experience with international trade related issues.
-Ability to travel to other EaglePicher facilities as needed.
