We are a developer and provider of high-performance broadband customer-premises networking
equipment and carrier-class software for the remote management of broadband services and
equipment. We also develop and provide broadband-enabled services and remote-management
software for enterprises' technical support, help desks, and personal computers.
As Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for serving as an integral member of the Netopia
account management team, focused on geographic region with several named accounts. In this
position, you will manage all technical aspects of the account relationship and will maintain
a proactive role in providing new product and feature developments to the accounts. The
successful candidate will have an exceptional presentation skills and strong ability to
effectively communicate with customers, team members and senior executives.
Perform in-depth technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects, and work
closely with business units to assist with product planning and/or enhancements
Provide product consulting and technical sales support to customers and Netopia account team
Conduct on-site or remote technical training
Test and evaluate new hardware and firmware products
Ensure rigorous lab certifications for multiple products
Design networks around Netopia router and software products
Analyze customer requirements and provide innovative solutions and strategies to complex
Keep abreast with industry trends and best practices
Bachelor degree in computer science or related discipline.
3+ years experience in the networking field with emphasis on internet related protocols,
services and connectivity; including physical interfaces (Wireless, ADSL, ADSL2+, and VDSL),
datalink protocols (PPP, PPPoE), applications running over IP (VPN, Filtering, NAT and WiFi
VoIP solutions), and services such as Parental Controls, POS, and Hotspots; ACS experience
using TR-069 is a plus.
Broad base knowledge of PC applications, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Etherpeek.
Prior sales experience and knowledge of competitorsí products preferred.
Must have excellent technical project management, customer service, organization,
communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven analytical and problem solving skills
Self-starter with demonstrated ability to multi task and work in a team environment.
Travel (airplane or car) is required.
