Roles and Responsibilities
Primary role is the provision of telephone technical services on new and existing EGS gauging
equipment. This support will include the resolution of electronic, hardware, software and
process problems being experienced by our Customers.
Parts order processing and Customer Assistance Requests (CARs) are opened through this
Support services, which include but not limited to mechanical and electrical connections,
troubleshooting automatic die control, machine direction control and process problems
experienced by our Customer.
System calibration, control optimization, training, and software troubleshooting.
Some Customer administration, including technical parts processing and identification.
Written tech note reports with documented calibration and control performance.
Process optimization services for existing customer.
Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting and exceeding expectations.
Administrative functions such as service reports, install reports, time cards, expense
reports, repair tags, weekly schedule updates, daily check-ins.
Flexibility with work schedule to accommodate customer needs after hours, weekends, and
holidays as required.
Participation in a rotating weekend on-call schedule.
Promote after market services.
Provide routine feedback to management and the sales department.
Periodic Tier 2/3 support as needed.
Bachelors degree in related gauging or plastics discipline or equivalent combination of
education, training or technical experience.
Strong background and understanding in at least one process relevant to EGS's Gauging,
Inc.s core business of supporting the Plastic and Rubber industry.
Prior direct experience or Coop experience in a plastics discipline. Hands on experience are
Strong electro /mechanical, and computer skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously.
Overnight travel is expected to be less than 10% after training.
Valid drivers license.
Passport eligibility and willingness to travel internationally if the need arises.
