Lakeshore Construction and Engineering is a growing federal government contractor. We provide
construction and environmental contracting services to DoD and other federal agencies.
Contracting mechanism includes design-bid-build, design-build, construction (RFPs), IFBs,
design-build-plus. We are looking for talented project engineers, proposal coordinators and
estimators who can cohesively work in a team to produce winning proposals. 


Proposal coordinators should have following education, skills, and commitment:


§      3 years federal government proposal experience is preferred. 

§      Education B.A. /B.S. (engineering education is preferred) 

§      Excellent communication and coordination skills

§      Excellent handle on MS Office products especially Word, and PowerPoint; Detail

§      Able to take a project from concept to completion

§      Ability to work under pressure, closely track details of multiple projects and interact
with executives and sales staff at all levels

§      Comfortable working in a rapidly changing, unpredictable environment

§      Good problem solving skills

§      Self-starter and able to work under minimal supervision 

§      Sense of urgency and deadline-oriented 

§      Work is driven by tight deadlines and may require long hours including evenings,
weekend and holiday


These individuals will work from the Detroit office in Michigan. Specific duties of proposal
coordinator include:


§      Analyze RFP requirements and come up with data call

§      Request, track, and assemble datas from various sources

§      Compile data in uniform formats

§      Prepare proposal binders, cover pages, tables, tabs, and final packages for delivery

§      Follow up on multiple proposals with all involved parties

§      Update proposal calendars, update proposal tracking lists, update award list

§      Envision and help define graphic elements that help communicate major concepts

§      Coordinate with other proposal team members, subject experts, and estimators to put a
complete package together

§      Support the development of oral presentations (PowerPoint), customized SOQs, and
responses to client requests for information

§      Assist business development and project team in preparing presentation, qualifications,
or other such materials

§      Assist estimators put cost together, research subcontractors bidding on the job,
contact and invite subcontractors, send required plans/specifications to subcontractors,
prepare and periodically update the subcontractor database region-wise, populate and utilize
e-utility to send  bid invitation with a click of a button, list LES as a prime on all
available builders’ exchanges and plan rooms
