IDCís Sector Major Sales team is seeking an Inside Sales Representative who will be
responsible for driving new sales from Sector Major accounts prospects and existing accounts.
This position will report to the Associate Vice President, Sector Sales.
As a member of a collaborative team, the Sales Representative will be responsible for
developing an in-depth knowledge of IDC products and services, as well as building strong
relationships with individuals across IDC. A primary responsibility will be to begin and
advance the IDC sales cycle on a high volume basis for both existing clients as well as new
prospects. The individual will be responsible for identifying new opportunities and for
broadening IDCís reach within existing accounts and prospects for the outside sales team. The
individual will follow up on proposal generation, respond to client requests for information
and/or problems, and continue to enhance the client value proposition. The quota for this
position will consist primarily of new business within the Sector Account group.
Requirements for the position include 2-3 years of sales experience, along with strong
written, analytical, and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service skills are
essential. Strong telephone cold-calling experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will be
motivated, assertive, and collaborative, as well as highly organized and a quick-thinker.
Prior market research industry sales experience is helpful, but not required. This position
will be based out of Framingham, MA and will require approximately 10% travel.
