As the Director of Information Technology, your goal over the first 12 – 18 months will be to
continue the hands-on development of our proprietary LIMS application.  As the company grows,
you will be responsible for determining how to integrate our software with our molecular
biology laboratory processes and robotic instruments and the architectural direction of the
system as it evolves.  Our goal is to create a highly automated and  scalable laboratory
workflow to maximize quality and minimize the need for manual lab work. 

Responsibilities Include:

- The continued development of MendelWorks’ proprietary LIMS application  and architectural
design of the system as it evolves
- Creating functional design specifications, implementation, and system testing
- Working closely with MendelWorks’ staff and clients to understand lab process workflow and
managing both client and lab-based data according to expectations
- Assisting with onsite backup for maintenance of MendelWorks’ IT network and phone system
