Job Description:
This position is responsible for generating new customers and monthly revenue in the Mid Market
(business customer spend $3,000 to $5,000) segment for McLeodUSA. The individual is highly
self-confident, has a positive outlook and has a very strong commitment to succeed in a
competitive market environment with an expressed need to achieve personal financial goals. An
SAE has all the skills required to successfully meet or exceed the monthly revenue quota of
$3,500. SAE skills include prospecting, account management, telemarketing and cold calling
appointment setting skills; a solution selling orientation; data gathering, proposal
generation, and presentation skills; and closing and the administrative skills to complete and
submit sales orders. Professionalism, integrity, organization, administration and the ability
to prioritize activities that lead to sales success are prerequisites for the position. An SAE
has an assigned territory and operates in a success based, revenue model that has expectations
that need to be met on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. 

Sales Acquisition encompasses those positions typically engaged in the direct sale of
equipment and/or telecom and data services to business and/or residential customers. Sales
Acquisition positions typically include those involved with outside sales or those for which
the primary activity is sales prospecting either through direct phone sales or on-site
customer visits.
