Responsible for preparation and accurate processing of bi-weekly and monthly payrolls for
1100+ employees in a multi-company, multi state environment.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1.Enters new hires, terminations and employee changes into the ADP payroll
2.Prepares and issues manual checks as required.
3.Assists employees on all payroll-related issues.
4.Inputs and audits payroll transactions, employee tax information;
reconciles employee data and deduction changes.
5.Processes wage verifications and garnishment requests.
6.Ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations as
well as company policies and procedures.
7.Maintains payroll records and employee files.
8.Maintains MBTA pass program in the Boston office.
9.Assists with month end payroll reconciliations.
10.Assists with year-end reconciliation of employee records for processing
11.Prepares Ad Hoc payroll reports as needed using Reportsmith Report Writer.
12.Contributes to the Firm's overall initiative to consistently improve its
image internally and externally. Displays professionalism, quality
service and a 'can do' attitude to internal members/departments of the
Firm as well as external clients and vendors via electronic and print
correspondence, over the telephone and in-person.
13. Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
1. Associates Degree in Accounting preferred.
2. Minimum two to four years of solid payroll experience required.
3. Must have progressive payroll experience in a multi-state environment.
Strong knowledge of federal, state and local laws, tax filing
requirements and W-2 reporting.
4. Proficient with ADP PC for Windows, Reportsmith, Microsoft Word, and
