The Accounting Manager may be required to perform all or a combination of the following
essential functions as determined by business necessity:
Manage monthly close activities through data accumulation and analysis. Review accounts
receivable, accounts payable, payroll and journal voucher documents and all operation systems
affecting the trial balance.
Review and audit all general ledger accounts.
Prepare analysis and submit monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports to management.
Coordinate division accounting activities in the areas of order management, accounts
receivable, shipping and receiving, accounts payable and general accounting transactions.
Coordinate and direct accounting personnel during the month-end close.
Assist with the coordination of financial quarterly reviews and year end audits with external
audit staff, along with the preparation of the 10Qs and 10Ks.
Provide appropriate review of work assigned to other personnel and staff prior to submission
to upper management.
Take a leadership role with other general accounting personnel by assisting with developing
staffing requirements, participating in career development by supporting and recommending
promotions, merit increases, job transfers and/or other staff development requirements.
Participate on special projects and cross functional teams. Including, but not limited to:
process improvements, Sarbanes Oxley, and financial system improvements.
Provide guidance on technical accounting issues. Experience with FAS123R, Revenue Recognition:
SAB 104/101, SOP97-1, SOP 81-1 and EITF 00-21, is highly regarded.
Assist Oracle integration effort.
Assist with other SEC filings.
∑ Bachelorís degree in Accounting.
∑ CPA required.
∑ Minimum of 7 years of experience in Accounting/Finance.
∑ Good working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
∑ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, organizational/team functionality and
∑ Highly motivated individual, with leadership potential and demonstrated
∑ Solid PC skills including Excel and database applications, Microsoft Access a plus.
∑ Working knowledge of the Oracle business platform is a plus.
