Job Purpose
The Configuration Manager/Release Coordinator is responsible for the hands-on operational
management of the release processes. Works closely with the Development, QA, PM, and IT
departments to coordinate and facilitate promoting .NET and database application code releases
across multiple development and test environments. Responsible for developing sound,
repeatable, and traceable processes and functions within the release management system.
Controls the version migration process as each version moves through the development and
testing process. Coordinate with all departments to develop and maintain the overall release
plan and release calendar. Responsible for preparing and maintaining release process
Documentation. Helps to identify and implement deployment automation strategies.

Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. in Computer Science or other related technical degree/experience. Specific knowledge as
to purpose and benefits associated with good Release Management processes and their interaction
with other processes in the organization (i.e. Change, Configuration, Project Management).
Good organizational skills, self-starter, ability to work in highly matrixed environment. Must
have strong interpersonal skills. Strong ability to manage multiple projects and rapidly
changing priorities. Attention to detail is required.
Hands-on experience in the following technologies:
Windows operating systems (Server 2003) and scripting
Revision control system
MS Project
IIS based .NET application configuration experience
MS SQL Server
Ad-hoc SQL writing
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
