Jenzabar’s Product Development team has an immediate opening for a Senior Software Engineer.
This position reports to the Product Development Manager in our Cambridge, Ma. office.
Work closely with other Jenzabar programmers to lead the design of and implementation of a
multi-tiered portal development framework for higher education using the latest Microsoft .NET
Technology. We are looking for both experience and creativity to design the next generation
The person needs to be able to contribute right away so you MUST be fluent in Microsoft .NET
technology. During the interview, you will be tested on the specifics of the technologies
listed in the following section and solve programming problems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Continue to expand the portal framework’s functionality and optimize its operations and
·Build and maintain a SDK
·Act as a technical liaison between product development and other departments
·Perform verification that the design specifications have been correctly fulfilled.
·Keep abreast of emerging technologies, which offer potential for enhancing the end users
experience both on the web and in standard application design.
·Provide technical guidance along with the existing framework team to application developers
around the company as well as to customers.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
·4 year Engineering Degree in Computer Science
·6+ years of Microsoft Web Technology experience using:
·VB/VB Script, COM/COM+/MTS
·.NET / C# experience preferred (2 Years).
·SQL Server 2000
·Experience with LDAP integration.
·Experience in security, personalization, and customization.
·Strong communication skills and leadership experience.
·Thrives on challenges and won’t sit still until the problem/issue is resolved.
·Easy going (need to work closely with a laid back small team).
·Loves rapid application development
·Extremely detail oriented about programming standards and proud of the quality of programs
·Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field strongly preferred (unless you are
really, really good).
