JOB TITLE: DISTRICT MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION: Direct responsibility for sales in branches within assigned district and
surrounding states. Responsible for ensuring sales staff are developing and maintaining
rentals and sales of equipment in their assigned region.
COMPANY INFORMATION RED-D-ARC (a division of Airgas) is North America’s largest welder rental
company. We presently operate a rental fleet of over 28,000 welding machines from 32 branch
locations in the USA and Canada. Our business includes rentals, leasing and used & new sales
of welding equipment and related accessories.
-Responsible for the sales activities in their district
-Assist Sr. VP with planning and annual budgets for the region
-Assist Sr. VP with developing target customer groups
-Assist Sr. VP with pricing on secondary revenue
-Expand present boundaries and develop new markets
-Assist in A/R issues with primary customers
-Work with the inside sales and outside sales staff to develop a team
-Liaison to Airgas regional companies within district
-Liaison between the branches in district
-Outside sales experience in either an industrial equipment rental or a welding equipment
sales or rental environment. Working knowledge of welding applications and equipment is
-Self-starter, self-motivated, sense of urgency, well organized, ability to achieve goals,
ability to focus and pay attention to detail.
-Must have excellent technical, oral and writing skills as well as strong interpersonal and

-Able to operate a calculator to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages,
ratios and proportions to practical solutions.
-Proficiency in MS office is essential
-Ability to travel and be away from home 33% of the time.
-Clean driving record and at least 21 years of age
