Infrastructure Operations Process Manager

Teradyne is looking for an Infrastructure Operations Process Manager to create and run key
Infrastructure operational processes spanning Network, Data Center, Systems, Telephony, Lotus
Notes Administration, and Desktop Support. Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager and working
in collaboration with the Infrastructure management team, this position:
Identifies requirements
Designs the process
Creates documentation, training and deployment plans
Coordinates deployment
Administers the processes in production
Measures, reports effectiveness and improves performance
The processes are typically focused on coordination, control and measurement (as opposed to
hands-on technical execution). Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance processes figure prominently in
the environment, examples being Change Control, Physical Access, Logical Access, Backup and
Recovery Monitoring, Inventory.

Success is measured in the quality of the processes meeting the following core objectives:
Processes that are clearly documented for training, execution and measurement
Execution results indicating high confidence of meeting SOX objectives and passing audits
Reliable and predictable measures of how well operations are working and their result against
process objectives.
Ability to move processes to suppliers and measure their effectiveness.
Optimized to require as little overhead as possible.
Meeting operational SLA’s.
A dashboard of metrics representing status of process effectiveness

Experience & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
A college degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience with 5 years experience in IT
Fundamental knowledge of midrange server environments (including Microsoft Windows,
Unix/Linux)., network LAN/WAN, Mass Storage.
Experience performing data analysis (tools such as Statistical Process Control Charts, Pareto
Experience working in the framework of operations processes, best practice, designing and
documenting operations processes (skilled in flowcharting and creating procedural
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work at multiple levels of an organization.
Experience in Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance or audited environment is desirable.
