Job Description:
Job Summary:
To support the commercial manufacturing and testing labs by managing the delivery and storage
of samples. Sample types include release testing, backups, retains, reference material, assay
controls, critical reagents and cryopreserve. Monitoring of environmental chambers is also
critical to the storage of the above sample types. Support and maintain retain program as
required by CFR regulations. Participate in thawing and aliquot of reference material and
controls. Weekend shift and holiday rotation may be required.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
-Primary responsibilities are to coordinate and support the receipt of samples from all sample
ports, validation and outside contractors and delivery of the samples to QC laboratories as
well as work closely with QCSM and area supervisors to help resolve sample receipt and
delivery issues.
-Maintain inventories for QC Backup, retain, reference material, critical reagents and assay
controls. Monitor and maintain QC Cold storage units.
-Perform inspections on bulk drug substance material stored in the Warehouse and drug product
retain samples.
-Ensure sample receipt and delivery procedures are updated as necessary and performed in full
compliance with cGMP's.
-Review and Revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as subject matter expert (SME) when
required and train appropriate personnel on revisions.
-Schedule and perform thawing and aliquoting of assay controls, critical reagents and
reference material. Perform testing of samples at the pre-aliquoting step of the reference
material aliquoting process.

Requirements:
-This position requires a high school diploma with 2 + years of experience in a GMP
environment or an Associate's degree with a minimum of 2 + years administrative or laboratory
experience. 
-Work in a cGMP setting is preferred. BL2 laboratory is required. 2 + years prior experience
in related job duties.
-They must have exceptional organizational, communication and writing skills with the ability
to use the computer. Microsoft Word, Excel and Access are most frequently used software
applications. The candidate must have a collaborative and pro-active approach to quality with
the ability to work well in a team environment. Experience in a customer service position is a
plus.
