eInvite.com is one of the nation's top e-tailers of fine stationery, invitation, announcement
and holiday card products. eInvite manages and operates three distinct online e-commerce
sites: 1) eInvite.com site, 2) the exclusive fine stationery site for Costco.com and 3)
OutVite.com, an invitation and fine stationery site for the gay and lesbian community.
We seek a talented, experienced, and creative business person to lead merchandising and
customer retention activities for our e-commerce businesses. This role will report to the
Director of Marketing. This individual will develop and execute merchandising and promotions
for all our e-commerce sites, developing, communicating and executing strategic and tactical
merchandise plans that meet the financial objectives of eInvite. This is a position for
someone who can operate strategically and tactically, can execute with a sense of urgency, can
roll up their shirt sleeves and dig in and enjoys collaboration and the creative process.
Position will lead the development and execution of annual merchandising and promotion plans
for websites to include:
· Implement merchandising strategies of entire product catalogue;
promoting/moving/altering featured products based on trends, customer data and reporting.
· Develop and validate new site features and promotions; define customer and business
requirements for these features or functionality on the sites. Create original content for
site features. Create original content for email newsletters
· Develop and execute plans for specific customer retention programs.
· Conduct ongoing analyses to improve performance, product mix, pricing and promotions.
· Manage key vendor relationships
· Write and edit product marketing copy
· Define customer needs, identify key market trends and translate them into product
requirements. Track, analyze and communicate trends for key product lines.
Qualifications:
4+ years of related marketing and merchandising experience in an online environment
BA/BS degree
Demonstrated successful experience in the development and implementation of marketing,
promotions and merchandising plans in an online environment.
Excellent communication, teamwork and people skills
Demonstrated ability to measure, track and report program results over time
Good business understanding of current web-enabling technologies, usability and design
Knowledge of HTML, Photoshop and other web tools a plus.
Creative thinker with strong copywriting skills
Qualities:
