This position will be responsible for managing operations across various quality improvement
programs. Working closely with the Project Team Leaders for home health, hospital and nursing
home services, the Director will ensure that contractual and corporate objectives are
effectively achieved. The Director will be held accountable for ensuring that MassPROís
improvement programs are on the leading edge and meet or exceed established contractual and
corporate improvement benchmarks. Reports to Vice President for Strategy and Operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
Will develop and lead an integrated and comprehensive strategy for QIS operations.
Responsible for the establishment and achievement of contract and corporate goals and measured
outcomes for QIS.
Manages the development and implementation of improvement initiatives and programs, as well as
consistent corporate-wide communication on progress for all QIS areas.
Supervises and coaches project team leaders and staff as necessary.
Develops management information systems to track milestones of both departmental and corporate
Provides and fosters a team oriented environment to enable QIS staff to continually share best
practices and learn from one another to promote professional growth and development.
Oversees QIS efforts to ensure a high level of customer focus and satisfaction.
Manages overall QIS budget to meet contract deliverables with available funds, as well as
identify new funding sources related to programmatic expansion opportunities.
Oversees data analysis and interpretation services to ensure integration with program
development and implementation efforts.
Will manage the planning, development and implementation of clinical and organizational
improvement programs and is accountable for program success.
Will provide overall coordination of the development of policy and processes for clinical and

Will ensure the preparation of content appropriate documents, manuals, proposals, and

Facilitation and Communication
Ensures communication and networking by managing and creating communication vehicles.
Coordinates, facilitates, and/or presents information on quality improvement, specific
projects, and requirements to large and small stakeholder groups and opinion leaders.
Consistently creates and sends messages, campaigning on the importance of quality improvement
and MassPROís role in these efforts.
Masterís degree in clinical or business preferred. Bachelorís degree in clinical or business
Five years management experience.
Five years operations experience.
Five years project management of multiple programs/departments/business units.
Three years experience facilitating and presenting to small and large groups.
Three years implementing performance improvement methods, programs, and system redesign
including collection, interpretation, and presentation of data on quality performance
