SAP Consultant-Pre/Post Sales
The SAP consultant will be the SAP Evangelist for the company. This person will be the primary
liaison between the field, product marketing and development, further refining and developing
our SAP products and service offering, and ensuring revenue objectives are met. This
individual will plan, research and analyze requirements, carry out, and report on engagements.
This individual will be responsible for developing, processes, techniques, methods, and
practices to ensure success in pre and post sales environments. This individual will be
responsible for training the field and developing a standard SAP Software Quality Optimization
(SQO) class. This position requires 7+ years of SAP application software implementation
experience. This position can expand to include involvement in other Segue packaged
application solutions (PeopleSoft, Oracle, Siebel). This position reports directly to the VP
of Professional Services.
Plans, structures, and organizes technical sales visits for all SAP opportunities.
Creates Statement of Work (SOW) for all SAP service opportunities.
Presents the Segue SQO story for SAP at all applicable tradeshows and public speaking
Works with product marketing to provide input on SAP solution go to market strategy and
sales enablement, and to develop content for all SAP collateral and whitepapers.
Works with development to enhance Segues product support for SAPs evolving and expanding
Delivers all SAP consulting engagements worldwide.
Trains current consulting staff on how to support complex SAP environments.
Builds project documentation to aid in the pre and post sales engagements.
Works effectively under limited supervision in rapidly changing environments.
Identifies and responds to customer questions, issues, and service opportunities.
Documents and reports on the use of new or enhanced features of Segue product line.
Reports on work accomplishments and identifies implementation issues in a logical, clear,
and thorough manner
Reports to Project Manager and Consulting Manager on the status of work/projects, problem
areas. Demonstrates sensitivity to customer satisfaction. Works collaboratively and builds
relationships with other consultants, customer staff, and third party consultants
Extensive (international) travel
7+years of SAP application software implementation experience
Familiarity with system administration
Operating system management
Basis support for R/3, FICO, ISCD, BW, SEM, CRM, and Portals
RFCs/ SAP Exchange Connector/ SAP XI
Familiarity R/3 performance tuning
Experience with functional, load testing and application monitoring products. Segue
Familiarity with latest SAP technologies (i.e. Portals, NetWeaver, Solution Manager, etc.)
Experience with PeopleSoft, Oracle, Siebel and Citrix a plus
Strong analytical skills
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
Extensive travel required.
