Description of Role
As a Java Web Architect / Software Engineer you will be involved in the full-lifecycle of
software design and development. You will use our UML-based design methodology to gather
business requirements from customers. Your role will include software development, database
development and may also include project leadership. In addition, as a Java Web Architect, you
will be involved in contributing to Bit Groupís Avail Java Web framework.

Technical Skills & Qualifications 
- Bachelorís or Masterís degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 3 years of programming
experience with 2 years in web-based technologies
- Proficient in Java, J2EE, object oriented programming, SQL, OOAD principles
- Experience building web front-ends using XHTML, CSS, JavaScript 
- Well versed in some or all of the following: Internationalization (I18N), Servlets,
JavaServerPages, Struts and Tiles, XML, XSLT, C/C++, C#, ASP, ASP.NET, Shell Scripting
- Unix and/or Windows system administration a plus
- Familiarity with some of the following application servers: BEA Weblogic, IBM Websphere, ATG
Dynamo, Interwoven, Vignette
- Knowledge of Stellent, Plumtree, Documentum, or similar CMS and Portal software is plus

Non-technical Skills and Experience 
- Well-developed problem-solving ability, research, and critical thinking skills 
- Strong client relationship and communication skills
- Competent analytical, writing, and presentation skills 
- Familiarity with software design methodologies 
- Ability to gather and document application requirements
- Regularly attend seminars and conferences on work-related topics
