The Regional Sales Consultant utilizes their knowledge of mutual fund products and the
financial industry to develop and maintain relationships within the Broker Dealer, Bank, or
Financial Advisor sales channels. Provides inside sales support to external wholesaler to
reach goals within a defined territory. Participates in the development and implementation of
business plans for the territory and works closely with the Marketing department on campaigns.
Clearly describes investment process to clients, acquires new representatives to expand
customer base, and drives Columbia Funds and Wrap Account sales to achieve territory goals.
Builds relationships, cross sells, asks for referrals, and makes follow-up calls for business
on behalf of external wholesalers. Manages contact management system. May travel on occasion.
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience (MBA a plus), two or more years of industry sales
experience, NASD Series 7, & 66, proven sales track record, market proficiency, goal and team
oriented, self motivated, outstanding communication and relationship building skills.
