Job Description:
The Bacou-Dalloz Group is the world leader in the design, manufacturing and sale of Personal
Protective Equipment (PPE). The company employs about 6,050 people and operates 36 production
facilities. Bacou-Dalloz provides unmatched head-to-toe protection through two strategic
business segments: head protection (eye, hearing and respiratory) and body protection (fall
protection, gloves, clothes and footwear). Bacou-Dalloz offers a full product range aimed at
the manufacturing, construction, telecommunications, medical, public services and other
sectors. 

The primary function of the Respiratory Protection/Gas Detection Sales Manager (RGSM) is to
ensure that assigned Territory Sales Manager’s(TSM) meet or exceed sales forecasts for
Respiratory and Gas Detection products within their assigned Sales Territories. It is the
responsibility of the RGSM to assist each TSM so that they possess enough knowledge, skills
and tools to professionally represent the entire Bacou-Dalloz(BD) Respiratory Protection and
Gas Detection Lines to distributors and end-users. RGSM’s will also perform the primary
function of product performance and competitive responses to their respective Business
Operations.

Specific Responsibilities

The functions of this role will include:

•Primary Communication intermediary between Industrial Safety Group Sales Force and respective
Product Management, Brand Management, Engineering and Manufacturing Personnel. TSM’s shall
point all technical product questions through their designated RGSM. The RGSM shall utilize
the corporate resources for closure. 
•Attend sales calls with major end-users with and without distributors.
•Attend Local Shows, Major Training Events and Major Sales Opportunities on behalf of
Bacou-Dalloz Respiratory Protection and/or Gas Detection. 
•Identify market sales opportunities and develop sales plans designed to maximize B-D exposure
within these opportunities.
•The RGSM will stay abreast of, and communicate all external regulations that effect the
applications of and uses of said products.
•Will document major wins/losses with recommendations for improvements. 
•Create and Develop ongoing educational opportunities and practices with their assigned TSM’s.

•Will continually communicate sales force progress, wins, losses and gaps to their Regional
Sales Manager.
•Monitor and analyze sales and sales trends of Respiratory and Gas Detection products within
the territory by product, by customer and by TSM.

Position Climate
Fast paced, rapidly changing environment where the ability to think and respond quickly and
creatively are essential. Must understand the scope of Respiratory and Gas Detection products,
business operations and distribution systems. Proven ability to lead and work within a team
atmosphere. Strong organization, conceptual, analytical, financial and communication skill
sets. Position requires extensive travel (40-50% of time).
