Business Development Manager Summary:
This position, within the Sales Distribution Group, is responsible for oversight of all facets
of the IXIS Advisors Group Business Builders Program. This individual will interact on a daily
basis with the EVP/Director of Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Finance and other key
associate groups in order to ensure that we are maximizing the firm’s opportunity with the
Business Builder Program. Preferred skills include: 
1. Project management skills
2. Relationship management skills including ability to influence others that do not report to
3. Ability to work under pressure and with deadlines
4. Attention to detail
5. Overall familiarity with market place of financial adviser

Major Responsibilities:
Business Builders Program reporting
• Responsible for creating and distributing activity reports that summarize Business Builder
efforts at the Financial Advisor (FA) and firm level
• Calculate, analyze and distribute Business Builder usage and return on investment analyses
for management reporting (i.e. weekly operating report) 
• Provide Global relationships and Sales Management with key statistics on Business Builder
initiative at key firms

Business Builders Calendar Coordination Duties
• Pre-qualify all coaching/Kolbe participants according to established criteria
• Responsible for the upkeep and periodic distribution of the meeting calendar for Director of
Business development
• Responsible for liaison with executive assistant that coordinates travel for Director of
Business development
• Responsible for liaison with Global Relationships on key note event requests for same
• Responsible for coordinating/communicating all FA Business Builder interaction with IXIS
sales personnel

Business Builders Sales & Marketing Integration
• Responsible for ensuring that all Business Builder events handled by Director of Business
Development or other sales associates are folded into the Sales and Marketing Integration
• Ensure that all pre and post event (coaching, speaking engagements, seminars, etc.)
promotional and follow-up activities are leveraged appropriately, in order to maximize each

Business Builders Liaison Duties
• Act as point person for Director of Business Development for all Business Builders related
• Act as liaison for Business Builders with all other business units on items in progress
including but not limited to:
• Marketing including P.R.
• Compliance
• Global Relationships
• Product/Portfolio Metrics Group
• Finance
• Work with Director of Business Development to seek out targeted advisor groups, industry
opportunities to broaden exposure
• Attend Business Builder events as required

• Attend industry conferences as designated by management
• Assist with market research as time allows

• 4+ years investment management experience with strong communication skills 
• Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to interact with various
constituencies both within the Firm and outside the Firm.
• Strong familiarity with Powerpoint, Excel.
• Comfortable with numbers and analysis
• Self starter
• Strong organizational skills and follow through
• Bachelors degree
• Series 6 and 63 NASD licensed
