Job Description:
The Tech Pack Coordinator is a newly created position leading to career advancement as a
Technical Designer with the critical responsibility for the final review and sign-off of the
sample garment including all components of the Tech Package to ensure the accurate garment
construction for the Kellwood Sag Harbor division based in New York City, NY. Reports to the
Director, Technical Design. No direct reports. Must possess the ability to:

•Review sample garments and provide Tech Package information for construction of each style
•Convert Misses specifications to petite and women’s size scales
•Utilize WebPDM and Adobe Illustrator design software applications
•Confirm seam construction, stitching details, special instructions. Anything that pertains to
the manufacturing and finishing of the style
•Confirm fabric is correct and all info for cutting is specified including direction, plaid
matching, napped fabric, etc.
•Confirm all trim info is specified including thread and color, buttons, zippers, special
items, tags, labels, shoulder pads, seam tape, fusible, lining, pocketing, etc.
•Confirm final measurement specifications
•Confirm pressing instructions and packaging of each style
•Perform other duties as directed to ensure daily business goals are achieved on time
•Meet applicable deadlines by adhering to a product development calendar
•Clearly and effectively communicate in verbal, electronic and written words
•Manage multiple and conflicting priorities to achieve optimal business results on time 

The most qualified candidate will possess:

•Two years experience in apparel technical design as an Assistant Technical Designer
•Technical skill proficiency in apparel garment construction including proven ability to sew a
garment, required
•Technical skill proficiency using design software applications, Web PDM and Adobe
Illustrator, required
•Strong experience with apparel production and construction, garment construction and
fabrications
•Proven ability to work productively and responsively on a team
•Technical skill proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word and Windows software applications
•Excellent influencing and verbal communication skills 
•Ethical standards and personal integrity
•Open, flexible, honest and collaborative teaming skills
•Ability to deal with rapidly changing organizational issues
•Self-motivation with a strong sense of personal accountability
•Bachelors degree in apparel related field, or transferable experience, preferred
