Senior Engineer (ISP) EN0013
**Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet
eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
**US Citizenship required.
Project manages the installation and maintenance of all QWEST telecommunications equipment
within specific government facilities.
Perform implementation and provisioning projects from inception to completion to provide
connectivity of DS-0, DS-1, DS-3, OC-3/12/48 and wavelength paths.
Setup and maintain project schedule provide daily updates to customer and Qwest management.
Perform pre-construction site survey.
Write ECP/EDP (engineering change/design package) including scope of work (SOW) and cost
Meet with customer and sales staff to discuss circuit requirements, and work with internal and
external circuit services providers.
Working knowledge of DWDM, SONET long-haul and metro transport systems, Routers, ATM switches
and network management systems.
Possess knowledge of DOD TSO/TSR circuit ordering and provisioning processes, Telcordia,
Create network topologies in Visio and Visional circuit management database.
Must have 3 to 5 years experience in providing provisioning and circuit implementations.
Desire one to three years supervising staff in circuit implementations or provisioning tasks.
Must have Associate degree or significant directly related work experience.
Desire Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Engineering Technology, or CIS.
Knowledge of DoD telecommunication environment is a major plus.
