SUPPLIER QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER

SUMMARY 
Responsible for ensuring supplier on time delivery and quality objectives. In addition, this
position is accountable for the timely resolution of technical problems related to procured
material surfaced by Industrial Operations, Product Development, and Suppliers for production
released material.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Generate supplier quality objectives and for reporting supplier quality and on-time
delivery performance (includes first pass yield, initial Fit removal rate, in service
reliability, obsolescence, and recurring cost).

2. Must resolve or coordinate the resolution of supplier technical issues, quality performance
issues, and on-time delivery performance.

3. Coordinate supplier audits.

4. Coordinate root cause analysis and corrective action with suppliers for production, line
fit and field failures related to purchased material and assemblies.

5. Responsible for the deployment of corrective and preventive action plans which address
process, product, or component alerts from industrial operations, air frame line fit
manufactures, or the field support organization.

6. Coordinate the transfer of product from one supplier to another when required.

7. Ability to facilitate/implement engineering changes, continuous improvement processes, and
lean manufacturing initiatives at suppliers.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Electrical Engineering from four-year college or university and
five years related experience and/or training; Experience in the electronic industry as an
electrical engineer. Experience in Supplier Management and Quality Control preferred. Must
have good Leadership skills and able to communicate well; very detailed oriented and
organized.
