Mechanical Engineer-Food - 5+ Years' Food Manufacturing Plant Experience – Benicia, CA
We are seeking an engineer to install, commission, service, and maintain both new and existing
range of industrial food equipment for both plants in Benicia and Yuba City, CA.
Requires a minimum of 5 years as a Process/Mechanical Engineer in a food manufacturing plant.
Possess a Mechanical Engineer degree.
Experience with production machinery of medium to high volume manufacturing and a working
knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems associated with food processing and food
Have led/managed projects from conceptualization to production (cradle to grave).
Strong supervisory and management experience, leading teams to work effectively and
Experience with 480 volt 3 phase power; 120 volt control circuits, low voltage control, PLC
controls, electrical/mechanical drivers, conveyor and hydraulic systems.
Knowledge of Cal Osha regulation, compliance, and implementation.
Candidates must have the ability to thoroughly and effectively troubleshoot problems and
implement solutions, and to think “out of the box.”
Good experience with preventive maintenance schedules, high-speed process equipment for food
or packaging industries.
Strong communication skills and excellent coaching skills.
Strong management ability and experience with a follow through mindset.
Able to travel between Benicia and Yuba City California.
Flexible to work during off shifts and during weekends as necessary to support operations.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
