United Services is the maintenance and engineering operation of United Airlines. The division
provides extensive services to more than 150 airline customers worldwide, including engine,
high-tech component, avionics and landing gear overhaul, and a global line maintenance and
logistic network. United Services is currently undergoing significant change to compete more
aggressively in the $35 billion MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) industry, and is
seeking talented individuals to join its team. 

We are currently hiring for the positions listed below in our Supply Chain Strategy & Support
Group. This group was recently restructured and the focus has expanded. The goal of this group
is to provide strategic direction for and optimize the supply chain management for the

Senior Staff Analyst: Parts Disservice Management
Supply Chain Strategy & Support Group

Primary Focus: Co-leads development and management of Division-wide process aimed at
minimizing operational disservices created due to parts shortages. Supports the goal of
optimizing supply chain management while maintaining high quality, safety, and reliability for
United Services. 

Responsibilities
h Oversees the Division-wide initiative focused on operational disservices caused by shortage
of materials/parts.
V Leads the effort to minimize system wide parts disservice.
V Supports teams of material management specialists in root cause analysis and resolution of
problematic parts.
V Facilitates discussions with key internal customers to resolve supply chain issues.
V Monitors parts resolution performance, reports results, and implements corrective measures
as necessary.
X Supports preparation of divisional supply chain reporting and supporting analysis. 
V Drives development/revision of performance metrics.
V Maintains accountability for accuracy in report data and analysis. 
V Works closely with other team members to prepare analysis and evaluate findings.
V Acts as a liaison with Business Mgmt group.
h Designs ad-hoc reports and acts as a liaison with multiple supply chain management
customers.
h Participates in the development of divisional supply chain strategy/plan utilizing historic
demand/performance and future operating plan.
h Assists with definition of automation requirements and efficiency opportunities
h Participates in benchmark efforts, as necessary.

Education
h BS/BA degree in Business Administration or related discipline strongly preferred.

Experience/Skills
h Experience in supply chain management, inventory management, logistics, sourcing
preferred.
h 3 - 4 years of experience required, supervisory experience desired.
h Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
h High level of comfort with presenting to small and large groups that include senior level
executives.
h Strong organizational skills necessary.
h Solid knowledge of MS Office Applications (Required: Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Desired:
Access)
