This individual is responsible for research and development in collaboration with the
supervisor and other team members. They will assist in pharmacology and toxicology studies,
drug discovery and in vitro and in vivo screening of drug candidates. Other responsibilities
include in vivo and in vitro assistance in new and ongoing projects, assisting in development
of screen and bioanalytical assays and development and validation of new technologies.
Requirements include a BS and 5 years laboratory experience or MS and 3 years experience.
AALAS certification is desirable but not required. Must have in vivo experience using mice and
rats with a familiarity in xenotransplantation desired. Strong background in a biological
science is required; strong background in in vivo experimental biology is essential.
Experience performing biological experiments involving tissue culture, immunology, and
biochemistry are necessary; conducting experiments, interpreting data and preparing technical
reports, assisting in preparing and executing study protocols for non-clinical investigations,
and contributing to achievement of departmental research goals are musts. Working with minimum
supervision in accomplishing study objectives, ability to exercise technical discretion in the
execution and interpretation of experiments, capability to communicate experimental
results/observations verbally and in through the writing of basic reports are also required.
Must also be organized and familiar with laboratory operations.
