Pharmacy Senior Manager
Manages team of pharmacists. Works to develop employee’s skills, evaluates performance and
provides feedback, and oversees resolution of employee relations issues. Oversees hiring and
raining of new pharmacists.
Develop, track and monitor pharmacist’s compliance to quality, service and production
Works with pharmacy management to develop and communicate strategic business work plan goals.
Tracks and periodically reports progress to senior management. Assists in budget development
Works with management to analyze operations and efficiency of the pharmacy. Implements
operational improvements and works to improve production levels and lower costs to meet
Represents pharmacy operations in cross-functional meetings and projects. Prepare for,
implement and communicate new corporate initiatives and processes within the Pharmacy.
Provide support and backup for the team members during peak work volumes. Provide day to day
employee scheduling in the pharmacy to accommodate business needs. Work with management to
determine the need for overtime.
May facilitate tours for client visits.
Special Projects as assigned.
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, RPh or Pharm D or degree in Management or finance or
Current pharmacy licensure in good standing.
5 – 7 years experience supervising in a production environment, 2 – 3 years in health care or
PBM industry preferred.
Knowledge of current pharmacy regulations helpful.
Experience with strategic work planning and budgeting very helpful
Proven leadership skills, team-orientation, and a proactive and optimistic management style
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to solve complex problems and improve quality
Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions
Excellent communication skills
PC skills including Microsoft office, email and internet
Willingness to work a flexible schedule for peak times
