The Sr Research Analyst will conduct health services research using clinical, survey or
administrative data in support of analytical projects related to pharmacy costs and
utilization. The qualified candidate will be responsible for the interpretation of internal
trends and how these correlate with trends in the industry.
This position must provide analytic support to the Pharmacy area, using a working knowledge of
operational systems (authorizations, claims, membership, provider) and applications to create
informative reports and analyses. This includes but is not limited to providing guidance and
support to other analysts, managing project timelines, monitoring and ensuring data integrity,
evaluating results, summarizing findings as well as ensuring sound research design and
To qualify, you must possess:
Advanced degree in public health, statistics, epidemiology, health care, or related
Three to five years experience analyzing large datasets.
Prior experience with analysis of pharmaceutical and/or medical claims data strongly
Demonstrated technical experience and data management skills including data development, data
extraction, transformation, QA, and metadata capabilities, sophisticated statistical analytic
Demonstrated skill in advanced programming (SAS, SQL) with large datasets.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong demonstrated skills in carrying out analytic projects.
