The A&F training program is a comprehensive 90-day plan focused on immersing the trainee in all aspects of running a store. Training is structured in two-week implements. Each period the trainee will shadow a different member of the management team providing exposure to men's and women's merchandising, campus recruiting, scheduling, and basic principles of management. The general manager will conduct weekly performance assessments. Ideally, progression from this position to store manager should be within 6-8 months after which trainees are evaluated and tested for possible home office opportunities. Various career opportunities include and are not limited to, district management, college recruiting, visual merchandising, opening team and A&FTV are available options after a successful period of store management. Our home office or "college campus," is a 300-acre command center set in rural Ohio right outside of the city of Columbus. The campus is an Adirondack-inspired setting derived from the company's founder in 1892. Creativity and brand imaging are consistently communicated through a "work hard, play hard" mentality. With over 900 employees the A&F campus was designed as an extension of the company's brand-a place for the associates to work, play and live the Abercrombie lifestyle.
