UPMC Health Plan, a subsidiary of UPMC, serves some 400,000 members with its commercial
insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare+Choice products. Our members are served by some 6,500
physicians at 81 hospitals throughout 26 counties of western Pennsylvania. 

The Senior Director of Operations is responsible for the effective leadership of the Health
Plan�s pharmacy programs to maximize customer satisfaction and health quality at minimal costs.
Accountability includes, but is not limited to, PBM management, network management/contracting,
operational efficiency, call center functions and vendor relations.

Pharmacy management related field required. Bachelor�s degree required. Master�s degree in
business administration (or equivalent) desirable. Pharmacy degree a plus. Senior level manager
with at least five years of experience in health care delivery systems management in a managed
care of PBM environment. Three years at director or above required. Strong working knowledge of
finance, management information systems, prescription benefit management (PBM) operations and
clinical resource management. Knowledge and experience with specialty pharmacy programs is
desirable.
