Teksid Aluminum Foundry, a tier-one automotive supplier to Ford, DaimlerChrysler and Hyundai,
is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work at the Dickson (Nashville area), TN facility.  This
plant produces around two million aluminum cylinder heads annually and employs around 500
associates.

 

Qualified candidates should have a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering plus 3 - 5 years
experience in a manufacturing environment (heavy manufacturing and/or automotive experience
preferred.)  

 

Must be able to program Allen-Bradley, GE and Seimens processors; knowledge of control and
drive systems; ability to design, modify and troubleshoot electrical control systems; and
working knowledge of electrical distribution systems.   

 

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to organize and handle
multiple tasks.  

 

Will manage capital projects, develop master equipment lists, complete engineering requests,
maintain current layout of facilities and track down time on equipment.  

 

Experience with lean manufacturing, six sigma, TPM and 5S programs preferred.  

 

Must be willing to work some weekends and holidays, and be on call after work for equipment
troubleshooting.  

 

This position will report to the director of engineering and will work closely with the
maintenance department and manufacturing departments.
