We have an immediate need for a Software Test and Quality Assurance Engineer to work with our
Test and Quality Assurance Team to test our web-based call accounting applications.  

 

Job Summary:

 

Join a highly skilled development team testing leading-edge web-based applications which use
Visual C#, Visual Basic, XML, ASP, SQL, Jscript and HTML.  Participate in all aspects of
testing, including writing test cases, creating test data, testing and identifying
enhancements.  Candidate must be energetic and driven to excel at new challenges.  This is an

Responsibilities include:

 

Work with a dedicated team to test leading-edge web-based applications.

 

Provide input for Project requirements and participate in functional specification reviews. 

 

Working from functional specifications, create test cases and test data to execute the test
cases.

 

Think beyond the functional specifications to perform real world ad-hoc testing.

 

Detect bugs and work with software engineers to isolate the root cause.

 

Identify features and enhancements to make the application best of class.

 

Write and maintain scripts for automated testing.

 

Continuously update skills and knowledge in testing and relevant areas.

 

Be passionate about quality!

 

Training and Experience:

2-4 years in software testing, including designing and writing test cases, setting up test
data, executing test cases and documenting test results.

A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

Knowledge of formal QA and testing methodologies

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to work with multiple priorities and in a team environment

Experience with Windows based operating systems installation and software installations

Experience in testing telecommunication software 

Experience using defect tracking tools

 

Familiarity with automated test tools

 

SQL Server experience a plus
