Summary:
Working out of the Billerica office and reporting to the Senior Director of Sales Operations
Management, the successful candidate will utilize their knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and
Value-Stream Mapping (VSM) to baseline Discovery Labware's distribution channels. These VSM's
will serve as the foundation from which the business unit will improve efficient performance of
the supply chain. Specific tasks will include developing value stream maps for our various
distribution channels; working with Finance to establish costing for each channel; and
identifying improvement opportunities from a total business perspective. Travel will be minimal
and contained to the Northeast. 

Requirements:
BS/BA with concentration in Logistics, Operations Management, Finance or Engineering. 5+ years
direct, hands on experience and certification with Lean Manufacturing. Effective understanding
of value stream mapping. Should have hands on experience with high volume production, supply
chain distribution and distributor agents. APICS helpful. Excellent analytical, advanced PC
application, and strong communication (to include presentation) skills are required. Knowledge
of integrated supply chain systems and SAP preferred.
