Description: Work in a dynamic role to support the interaction between Operations and Chemistry
Product Development by producing prototype materials, defining manufacturing and testing
processes at the operator level, and developing necessary controlled documentation in
collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, and QC.

 

Details: 

Using classical synthetic chemistry techniques, prepare small batches of chromatography
materials for research evaluation. 
Produce and test columns in theR&D environment. 
Cooperate with manufacturing chemists to effectively transfer synthesis, production, and
testing procedures to operations. 
Develop and refine chromatography column packing and testing methods for use in a manufacturing
environment. 
Participate in the development of standard procedures and training materials. 
Interface with engineering and operations functions to make improvements to existing products
and processes. 
Requirements: Knowledge of HPLC column packing and development is essential.  The candidate
must be PC literate in a Windows environment with knowledge of standard software applications. 
This position requires 3 years experience in a production environment.  Excellent documentation
and organizational skills are required, and some experience in HPLC will be beneficial.   The
successful candidate will also possess good oral and written communication skills.    B.S. in
Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or similar discipline is required.
