POSITION TITLE:  New Product Introduction TECHNICIAN

DEPARTMENT:    MANUFACTURING ASSEMBLY

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop manufacturing instructions 
Build assembly aids, harness boards and test fixtures
 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES

Build prototype Cable/Harness 
Develop clear written and pictorial manufacturing instructions 
Develop and build all necessary assembly aids and test fixtures 
Research and specify tooling required to assemble New Products
 

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

 

EXPERIENCE:

Must possess at least 5 years experience in the Cable and Harness assembly field.

 

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Quick learner, ability to design for manufacturing, detail oriented, computer literate (Excel,
Word.) or quickly trainable, creative, strong writing skills, and self-motivated. Must interact
well with customers, engineering, manufacturing and suppliers. Blue print reading skills
required.

Possess a complete working knowledge of cable manufacturing hand tools, semi-automatic wire and
cable stripping equipment, applicator set-up experience and test fixture fabrication. 

Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
