JOB DUTIES: Mechanical Design Engineer
The Mechanical Design is in support of preliminary design/configuration, requirements
development, flight test, loads analysis, static and fatigue test, shop support and/or
certification.
JOB SKILLS: aircraft mechanical design experience with the ability to:
1. Perform preliminary design and trade studies for aircraft systems in an integrated product
team (IPT) environment; 2. Use CATIA V4 or V5 to create solid models and release datasets or
drawings for details, assemblies and installations of aircraft systems; 3. Broad knowledge in
one or more major aircraft systems (Fuels, Hydraulics, ECS, Electrical, Armament, Propulsion,
Fire Protection, Structures or Payloads); 4.Manage supplier contracts by developing SOW and
providing oversight through all contract phases; 5. Review, analyze and resolve manufacturing
and assembly issues; 6. Work in a multi-disciplined integrated product team (IPT) environment;
7. Understand requirements and work well with customers and regulatory agencies. Good
communication skills are highly desired along with the ability to work in a teamwork
environment.
Minimum requirement is a B.S. Degree in either Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Aeronautical
Engineering from an ABET accredited institution. |
