Eliza Corporation (Beverly, MA) seeks an Application Developer with a track record of technical
achievement and productivity.

 

Qualified candidates will possess:

�   An undergraduate degree in computer science, cognitive science, or a related field

�   2-4 years programming experience with scripting languages such as J-Script, PERL, and HTML,
developing in Windows environments, and integrating with XML and SQL server databases

�   Strong analytical and logical thinking, applied with an excellent attention to detail

�   Experience and/or interest with linguistics, phonetics, and foreign languages

�   Track record of developing innovative, high performance applications on spec and schedule

�   Intellectual curiosity and creativity

�   Personal characteristics that demonstrate personal initiative and focus on
achievement/results 

 

Duties include: Systems analysis, documentation, application design, coding, test, and support
for Eliza's speech recognition applications.  Development and maintenance of vocabulary and
grammar releases, and integration of applications with Eliza's recognizer and databases. 
Development and monitoring of quality control and operating reports for applications and
linguistic resources.  Collaboration with marketing and account management staff on ideas for
new applications.  Support of researchers, system engineers, and other application developers
on various projects, as required.
