Our client located in the Billerica area is seeking a Professional, qualified, Quality
Engineer:

 

In this role the candidate will be reponsible for providing all aspects of product qualtiy
management.  You will be working with manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, and engineering
to facilitate and manage compliance to all quality requirements.  Maintain thorough
communication and cross-functional activities to achieve exceptional levels of product quality
performance.  Manage noncomformance and corrective action activities to ensure successful
resolution of problems.  Establish and maintain product performance metrics and measurements. 
Provide engineering and technical assistance is required.  Perform new supplier observations
and areas for improvement.  Work with suppliers to ensure accurate root cause analysis and
effective corrective actions.  Actively participate in product development activities and
product design reviews and ensure quality and reliability requirements are embedded in the
design.  Design and implement quality control plans, processes, and procedures to ensure
product requirements are fulfilled and accepted. 

 

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and background in complex capital equipment
Strong analytical and technical skills are necessary to interpret specifications and drawings
and perform problem solving and data analysis leading to improvement initiatives.
Good communication skills and be able to conduct and facilitate meetings with crossfunctional
resources
Strong Computer skills and familiarity with microsoft applications and general databases
Minimum 7 years work experience in a quality and/or manufacturing role with complex equipment
working knowledge of ISO 9001-2000 and very strong quality impovement background, applying
statistacal tools, process FMEAs, and root cause problem solving
Experience leading process improvement teams and managing major projects
ASQ certificatios of CQE are a plus.
