Currently we have an excellent opportunity in our Denver, CO Office for a Director, Retail
Relations to work closely with the entire retail marketing team to implement the industry�s
strategy for increasing beef and veal demand in the retail channel.  This person will be
responsible for enhancing relationships and communication with Packers/Processors, Joint Retail
Committee members, Supermarket Retailers and retail and packer trade organizations on behalf of
the NCBA Retail Marketing team.  Responsibilities will be executed based upon the beef
industry�s Long Range Plan, the strategies identified in the NCBA Operating Plan and tactics
specified in the Authorization Request approved for Retail Marketing.  

 

Qualifications:

A bachelor�s degree and/or equivalent retail and packer/processor experience with a thorough
understanding of the beef industry
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate and cooperate with diverse groups of people from all sectors of the beef
industry, i.e., producers, packers, wholesalers, retailers
Desire to improve upon the status quo and seek out new opportunities
Skills necessary to organize and lead productive meetings
Understanding of retail supermarket operations including experience in the merchandising,
procurement and marketing of beef
Understanding of packer/processor operations including experience in the sales and marketing of
beef
