HARDWARE SYSTEMS ENGINEER

 

Rochester, NY based company has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer in the military
applications group.  Company is medium-sized with a rapidly expanding product line.  Definite
growth potential.

 

SUMMARY of RESPONSIBILITIES

Will be responsible for full-cycle design from concept through to manufacturing of
electromechanical ruggedized equipment.  Ensuring that all departments and aspects of the
project are coming together on time and within budget.  

Lead product development and coodinate technical reviews and audits according to the Defense
Acquisition Lifecycle

Responsible for design specifications and requirements

Design validation and verification, and configuration management

Work with Chief Engineer to support all technical activities

Heavy interaction with clients and vendors

Domestic travel and extended hours required

Position reports to the Director of Engineering

 

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

BS in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 

10+ years of experience in a hardware systems engineering role - writing specs, V&V and
configurations

Experience taking design through to production - commercialization

Must have military and/or ruggedized equipment experience - Mil specs, applicable testing etc.
