ER Solutions Network Administrator

 

ER Solutions is looking for a talented, results-driven IT leader with versatile, cross-platform
experience in systems/network architecture, installation, implementation, integration,
security, and administration in local and remote environments for diverse client industries
(banking, retail, telecommunications, utility).  

 

The candidate must demonstrate proficient and top-performing technical and application support
for the administration, installation, training, and support of client/server hardware,
software, peripherals, and networked systems for HP/UX, MS Windows 2000/2003 Server, and
Windows XP operating systems. They must also demonstrate proven success delivering
LAN/WAN/telecommunication connectivity, security peripherals, and multi-platform design of
Internet- and client/server/database-related applications.

 

The candidate shall be wholly responsible for technical support operations in high-volume, 24x7
environment, including coordination of technical issues involving network, hardware, and
operating systems as well as the following:

 

�          Oversee network connectivity, implementation, integration, and troubleshooting for
servers, routers, remote access, storage devices, printers, and scanners for five national
locations

�         Architect and manage internal, 2000+ node network

�         Manage WAN / LAN and all client access points including IPSec tunneling VPN
appliances via ISP with worldwide points-of-presence

�         Administer MS Exchange e-mail system and Internet Information Server to meet all
management, employee, and customer needs for corporate Web site

�         Direct systems administration of 1000+ customer HP/UX system

�         Design and administer internal telecommunications and voicemail system via OC3, DS3,
and T-1 connection for approximate 100 long-distance circuits serving 5 centers nationally

�         Have earned a reputation for on-time, on-budget completion of high-profile projects
involving networking systems, connectivity consultation, and problem resolution

�         Follow Information Security Policy to ensure all client, customer and debtor
information remain strictly confidential

 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

 

�          Bachelor's degree, from an accredited college or university, with major coursework
in information systems, computer science with an emphasis on networking or systems
administration 

 

�          Windows (MCSE/MCSA/MSDBA/ Citrix) or UNIX certification is preferred.

 

�          Five (5) years experience in large scale, server-based systems administration,
systems analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance, server administration

 

�          Five (5) years experience with Cisco Pix/ASA firewall set-up and maintenance

 

�          Three (3) years scripting with one of the following VBScript, JavaScript, Perl, or
Unix Shell Scripting

 

�          Five (5) years experience working with Corporate backup software

 

�          Must have excellent knowledge of network infrastructure technologies including DHCP,
DNS, Wins, IP/TCP, and Windows Active Directory

 

�          Excellent understanding of firewall configurations, DMZs configurations and VLAN

 

�          Knowledge and experience setting up and supporting Windows Servers and initiating
routine hardware and software upgrades and patches

 

�          Experience troubleshooting and configuring Cisco IOS (specifically network
optimization utilizing QoS, FWQ, or dynamic routing protocols EIGRP, OSPF, RIPv2)

 

�          Experience with drafting and organizing solid security policies
