Define comprehensive infrastructure architecture components and linkages including the physical
and logical design of web servers, application servers, database servers, middleware servers,
reporting servers, and network and storage integration � with the goal of developing a flexible
architecture to accommodate dynamic growth year over year in both development and production
environments.

�      Create and maintain effective IA blueprints which document the platform�s infrastructure
architecture

�      Collaborate with application architects, data architects and other technical teams to
develop integration plans for production deployment

�      Create, maintain and evangelize IA roadmaps depicting current and future states.

�      Establish effective design programs in support of the following:

o        Scalability

o        Availability

o        Performance Management

o        Configuration Management

o        Deployment Management

o        Lifecycle Management

o        Manageability

o        Supportability

o        Capacity planning

o        Security

�      Apply enterprise architecture vision to all system, technical and infrastructure
projects

�      Evaluate, analyze, and make recommendations on products, designs, and cost improvements
to improve the competitive position of the company

�      Conceive solutions, build consensus and articulate the business value of technical
solutions

�      Recommend appropriate course of action to developers/technicians and management on
technical and infrastructure issues

�      Recommend proactive courses of action to maintain cost-effectiveness and competitiveness


�      Analyze, evaluate, and recommend cost improvement ideas through product, vendor, and
design changes

�      Perform technical analysis of competitive products

�      Provide support to sales and marketing on product presentations and customer support

�      Coordinate issues and projects with other business units as required

�      Participate in market unit initiatives and projects

�      Keeping abreast of industry standards and knowledge to be able to communicate with
client

�      Interfacing effectively with other platform and SEI teams

�      Provide summary of accomplishments, issues and work planned 

�      Other duties as necessary
 
  
Requirements 
�      BA/BS, in a related technical field; or the equivalent in education and work experience

�      At least 10 years experience in Information Technology and demonstrable competence with
the Infrastructure Architecture discipline

�      Experience effectively interacting with large application development and delivery teams
and application development managers who are providing full lifecycle application support in
complex, heterogeneous environments

�      Experience/exposure with the following:

o        J2EE and/or .NET software stacks

o        Oracle, SQL Server

o        WebLogic/Tuxedo

o        Crystal/Business Objects

o        MQSeries or other Messaging tools

o        Informatica or other ETL tool

�      Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a singular commitment to the
accomplishment of team results

�      Ability to engage in constructive and open dialog, obtain consensus and drive results

�      Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 

�      Excellent customer service and client management skills

�      Excellent problem solving skills with process focus
