Position: Quality Control Technician - XRF 2nd Shift in our Devon facility
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure prompt and accurate analysis of washcoat, raw
materials, in-process and finished catalysts for base metals and precious metal concentrations
using XRAY Florescence. The ability to perform other analytical techniques such as ICP and BET
analysis may also be required.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Principal Accountabilities
� Comply with all environmental & health and safety federal, state, local regulations
and company policies
� Responsible for performing analyses of washcoat, raw materials, in-process and
finished catalyst for base metal and precious metal content
� Shall have complete competency with all Sample Preparation procedures.
� Responsible for efficient organization of his/her time
� Ensure proper documentation of all analyses/results is kept
� Ensure compliance with all safety procedures
� Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting equipment
� Ensure that proper procedures/standards are in use for analysis
� Ensures proper and effective communication of all issues departmentally and
inter-departmentally.
� Responsible for transferring clear and accurate information using ITS and LWLIMS
applications as well as Microsoft Word and Excel.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school education with Math and Chemistry background with 2 years laboratory experience
preferred or Bachelors/Associates degree in technical field. Capable of working as a team
member with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Good organizational skills with
emphasis for detail. Working knowledge of PC and applicable software programs.
