Our client is a global leading provider of mobile data infrastructure solutions to mobile
operators.  Due to the continuous growth, we are seeking a highly-motivated and
customer-oriented senior Tier 4 Engineer.  This position functions as the highest support level
for technical issues thus requiring extensive comprehensive knowledge of system hardware,
networking and databases. We are building a new team in the USA who will work very closely with
the R&D center in Europe.

 

 

Tier 4 Engineer for Data Communications

 

 

Job Description

 

You will be responsible for:

 

Resolving technical issues of the highest complexity.
 

Assisting in site audit analysis and corrective action plan to prevent future problems.
 

Conducting root cause analysis for critical events.
 

Managing and monitor alpha/beta sites.
 

Supporting code change for customer systems failures during emergencies and system outages.
 

Developing and distribute maintenance tools and procedures that serve all Tiers.
 

Consulting with various positions within the company such as Project Managers, Product
Engineers and Programmers, when necessary.
 

Serving as the focal point for technical inquiries during a product�s introduction.
 

 

Requirements

 

BSC or higher Engineering degree coupled with 4 plus years of experience developing and
delivering products within large mobile operators, wire line operators or ISPs.
 

Solid Technical experience in the field of data communications.
 

Experience in system troubleshooting and problem solving with remote development teams.
 

Excellent technical knowledge of IP networks, cellular topology and internet applications.
 

Hands-on knowledge of various operating systems such as Linux and UNIX.
 

Experience as a software developer is beneficial.
 

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
 

Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and to work under pressure.
 

Willingness to travel to Europe a few weeks per quarter and travel domestically up to 15%
within the USA.
