Senior Bulk System Planning  Job Description:

Aerotek, partnered with a leader in Georgia Energy, is looking for a Senior Bulk System
Planner.

Position Summary:
Anticipate current and future bulk transmission system requirements. Direct, develop and
perform engineering and economic analysis of power system alternatives in transmission and
generation to formulate, recommend and maintain the most economical and reliable transmission
expansion plan for the Corporation. Provide technical consultation, quality control screening
and recommendation to Corporate management on various transmission planning issues.

Job Duties
45%
1.) Direct, develop and perform through load flow and optimal power flow studies both
short-term (3-5 years) and long-term (6-10 years) comprehensive transmission expansion plans
for the Georgia Integrated Transmission System (ITS) and interface transmission capability.

2.) Direct and perform special investigations regarding system reactive requirements, stability
problems, system losses, Requests for Proposals (RFP) for new generation, Parity, and other
special economic or technical studies.

3.) Coordinate and collaborate with other ITS member utilities to achieve optimal ITS
transmission expansion planning by participating in joint ITS transmission planning working
groups, parity maintenance, and special task forces.

4.)Preparation of Integrated Transmission Expansion Plan.

6.) Participate on ITS working groups.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
BS in Electrical Engineering

Eight years (six years with P.E. License) transmission and power utility experience.
M.S. Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Power Systems. Six years experience in
Transmission System Planning and analysis

SPECIALIZED SKILLS
Power System Engineering Theories; Power Flow and Stability Packages; Engineering Economics;
Financial Analysis, Computer Programming, Effective Oral & Written Communication Skills.
