Electrochem Power Solutions, a division of Greatbatch, Inc., is a leading supplier of
specialized primary lithium cells and batteries. We have an outstanding opportunity in our
Canton, Massachusetts facility for an experienced Senior Engineer to lead the development of
new products and key projects within the Product Design Engineering department.


SENIOR ENGINEER

Accountabilities:
- Lead the project team(s) responsible for the development of complex cell and battery
program.
- Provide the technical product leadership for new and improved commercial products.
- Responsible for delivering key projects and technologies from R&D through PPQA and design
qualification into production launch.
- Develop new and unique approaches to complex problems and advance technology.
- Plan and develop engineering projects concerned with unique or controversial problems that
have an important effect on major organization programs.
- Provide management with technical guidance as required.
- Identify and procure the appropriate process equipment.
- Maintain liaison with individuals and units within or outside his/her organization with
responsibility for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to his/her field.
- May supervise lower level engineers or technicians.
- Perform other functions as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Training
- Four-year degree in an engineering discipline with minimum of ten years of experience.
Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
- Must possess expert level cell internal and mechanical design fundamentals, both chemical and
mechanical.
- Demonstrated project management skills in cross-functional team environment.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of experimental design, problem solving, and
design optimization techniques required.
- Effective planning and communication skills, both oral and written, required.
- Demonstrated computer skills, as required by stated accountabilities, and basic word
processing and spreadsheet skills required.
- Some travel may be required.
