The Administrative Business Partner (ABP) provides strategic, high-impact executive support to
executives at Asana. This role operates as a trusted partner and is embedded within a
collaborative ABP team that shares resources, best practices, and cross-functional coverage.
The ABP is expected to build deep business acumen, operate with exceptional discretion, and
drive operational excellence across a fast-moving, global organization.
This role is based in our Vancouver office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard
in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home
on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams
with which you partner. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share
more about the in-office requirements.
What You’ll Achieve
Executive & Calendar Management
Own end-to-end calendar management with strong attention to accuracy, context-switching, and

Anticipate the executive's needs before they arise, staying ahead of shifting priorities
and schedule dependencies rather than reacting to them
Partner closely with EBPs and ABPs to rapidly drive calendar alignment across the leadership

itineraries, office visit planning, meeting goals, AMAs, and team events

Serve as a communication proxy where appropriate, maintaining professionalism and discretion

owners, and finding answers even when they aren't immediately obvious

Own end-to-end planning and execution of team events including all-hands, off-sites,
end-of-quarter celebrations, and product launch celebrations
Coordinate cross-functionally to manage logistics, timelines, and stakeholder alignment from
start to finish
Project, Program & Process
Lead and manage large, complex cross-functional projects with measurable business impact
Track workstreams, surface blockers, and keep stakeholders aligned and informed
Identify operational gaps and build the processes to close them — not just managing existing
workflows but creating structure where it doesn't yet exist
Leverage Asana's own product and AI tools to design, document, and optimize operational
workflows; helping leaders adopt and model best practices is a core expectation of this role
Stakeholder Partnership
Maintain a working knowledge of key internal and external stakeholders to effectively interface
on the executive's behalf across all levels of the organization
Build trusted relationships across the organization, including with chiefs of staff, people
partners, and other ABPs
Serve as an extension of the executive in all internal and external interactions —
anticipating their perspective, advancing their priorities, and representing them with
professionalism and discretion
Culture & Operational Excellence
Embody Asana's operating principles and mission in day-to-day work
Demonstrate curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies; actively use them to improve
productivity, collaboration, and decision-making
Contribute to the continuous improvement of ABP team practices, knowledge-sharing, and team
camaraderie
