Data Analyst

TechTarget is seeking a Data Analyst who will work with the Data Analytics Manager to determine
key metrics and perform analysis of our database. Responsibilities include running demographic
reports, list counts on site newsletters, and performing marketing analysis. The Data Analyst
will handle multiple requests and will report on findings to different business groups. 

Essential Job Functions: 

� Conduct database analysis; 
� Design and run queries to extract and compile data from internal databases for routine
reporting and Ad-Hoc requests; 
� Conduct market analysis - collect and analyze data in identifying market trends, competitor
actions, market share, penetration strategies, user biases and consumer preferences
� Determine marketing effectiveness; 
� List counts; 
� Conduct customer profiling, market segmentation, geographic analysis, customer retention and
customer acquisition projects using analytical techniques;
� Create, maintain and analyze marketing database information used in the development of
marketing programs;
� Ability to turn data into business knowledge

Knowledge, skills and abilities required: 

� Bachelors Degree; 
� 1 � 3 years database analysis experience;
� Familiarity with Access, Excel and SQL a plus; 
� Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively;
� Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills; 
� Excellent organization skills with a strong attention to detail; 
� Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; 
� Ability to work independently but also function within a �team-oriented� environment
