Educational background sufficient to design and modify working plans, charts and scale
drawings, normally acquired through an Associates degree in Design, Architecture, or a related
field, with course work in computer-aided design or the equivalent work related experience.  

 

Design and prepare complete and accurate working plans, charts, scale drawings and revisions
for complex projects, integrating skilled architectural/engineering drafting methods and
procedures with the operation and application of computer aided design (CAD) equipment and
software.

 

Work requires two years of experience with AutoCAD.

 

Interface with departmental personnel to obtain details of equipment and materials
requirements.  Prepare electronic layouts, charts, detailed scale drawing, and material and
equipment requirements from sketches, specifications, and standard layouts provided by
customers, consultants, and/or departmental contacts, review and manipulate electronic files
received from consultants and departmental contacts.  Make basic computations to determine
layout of charts, strength of materials and requirements for structural design.  Revise
computer-aided designs and plans to comply with modified specifications made during actual
construction.
